Megan, Class of 2016 | Atlanta, Marietta, GA Senior Portraits

A few days ago, I mentioned on Instagram that I recently had the privilege of photographing a very special senior session. Being a photographer has blessed me in so many ways, but one of the things that I cherish the most is the fact that I get to capture huge life events of people that I love – whether that be the excitement of expecting a baby, welcoming of a new member into the family, celebrating birthdays and milestones, or high school graduations. I have been able to keep in touch with friends that I cherish through our sessions and that is such an awesome thing to be trusted with such precious memories.

In the past, any time I receive an inquiry for a senior session, I always refer them out to other local photographers who specialize in senior photography. However, when I received this one, there was NO way that was happening. 😉 A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most beautiful seniors I know, Megan. She is sweet, funny, kind, beautiful, smart…the list goes on and on. Megan is my niece and I was giddy over the opportunity to be the one to capture her such important photographs of her (and I swear I’m not biased…she truly is all of the things mentioned above). A few weeks ago, we had the best time shooting her senior portraits (even if we did feel like we were melting in the Georgia heat) and I will forever cherish the memories we created that night.

I have no idea how you are already a senior, M. It seems like just yesterday when you turned around as I was about to walk down the aisle with my dad and said to me, “It’s my big day!” You were the most precious flower girl I’ve ever see and you’ve turned into a beautiful lady. <3 You are going to rock the socks off of your senior year and then achieve amazing things in college and beyond. I can’t wait to see the success that I know you are going to create for yourself. Love you so, you beautiful girl…xoxo

Umm, hello gorgeous!!! By senior you mean college senior, right? There’s no way she’s in high school.

I don’t blame you for keeping this one all to yourself. 🙂
