A Dol Fit for a King (Traditional Korean First Birthday) | Atlanta, GA Birthday Photographer

It was an absolute honor to capture the 1st birthday party of this precious boy whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing throughout his entire first year. I had an absolute blast learning about the traditional Korean birthday celebration called “dol” and the customary practice of the doljabi where the parents set out five different items that represent different career paths and the birthday boy (or girl!) chooses which item will be their future career. Well, this handsome guy immediately knew which one he was going for – the microphone – which means he will have a successful life in the entertainment industry. I can tell you, if his career is anything like his first birthday celebration, it will be filled with so much love, joy and entertaining moments. Happy birthday, E.
