Just in the nick of time…| Smyrna, Woodstock Maternity Photographer

When looking back on this session, I’m kinda surprised that the planets aligned for the *short* amount of time they did so that we were able to actually get this shoot in. Andrea and I have been in touch for about ten weeks now and she had planned our shoot for this day a while back. On the day of the shoot, I got to the location about 30 minutes ahead of time to scope things out. Well, on my way, I drove through a DOWNpour. I mean, slow-to-15-miles-an-hour-wipers-on-the-highest-setting kinda downpour. I called Andrea just to let her know the conditions and she was not bothered in the least. “We’ll make it work…” she said. From the time they arrived to the time the second downpour came (this time with lightening…adios!), we had right at 30 minutes. In addition to the weather situation, I guess Andrea had mother’s intuition or something like that because if we had not done it that evening…we would have never gotten a chance to do it. Their precious baby girl, Addison, joined them the very next day! Addison is still in the hospital recovering from a surgery she had to have right after delivery and I’m sure that the family would love any thoughts or prayers you could send their way. I can’t wait to meet their baby girl once she is feeling up for a photo shoot. I know she will be beautiful…just like her mama.

Andrea and Neil – I had so much fun with you guys and am so thankful we were able to document the last day of your pregnancy. I’m also so thankful Addison is here and on the road to recovery. I can’t wait to see you all again and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! ~Elizabeth
